Rebecca Stokes

Rebecca Stokes, 40, of Ashland, died Saturday, May 3, 2008, in Ashland.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Kiowa Cemetery Pavilion with the Rev. James Crowson officiating. Burial will be at Kiowa Cemetery under the direction of Chaney-Harkins Funeral Home of McAlester.

Born Jan. 14, 1968, in Longview, Wash., she was the daughter of Earl and Kathrin (Campbell) Searle. She married John R. Stokes on May 23, 1996, in Bremerton, Wash.

She was a homemaker and enjoyed crafting gardening, scrapbooking and camping.

Survivors include her husband, John Stokes, of the home; mother, Kathrin Searle; sons, Kacee Stokes, of Ashland, and Scott Campbell, Ketchikan, Alaska; daughters, Kristina John, Portland, Ore., Carrie Guthrie and husband, Jacque, Ketchikan, Alaska, Jennifer Webb, Oroville, Wash., and Kathrin Shunn.

Also, four grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Dian Searle, Phoenix, Cathy Henderson, Kenai, Alaska, Dan Searle, Portland, Ore., Janie Young, Kenai, Alaska, Jean Raymond, Pendleton, Ore., Ed Searle, Hermiston, Ore., Debi Swan, Phoenix, Mike Searle, LaGrand, Ore., Barbara Henry, Kenai, Alaska, and Christy Perez, Ketchikan, Alaska.

And, mother and father-in-law, Mike and Mary Stokes, and numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Shawn Melton, Ben Pierce, Cecil Herren, Donald Barnes, Chris Kos, Jason Crenshaw.
