Larry Frank Scott, 67, of Alderson, died Saturday, May 3, 2008, in Alderson.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Chaney’s Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Burnside officiating. Burial will be at Bache Red Oak Cemetery in Bache. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Chaney-Harkins Funeral Home of McAlester.
Born Dec. 20, 1940, in Maywood, Calif., he was the son of Lawrence E. and Helen M. (Burge) Scott. He worked as a derrick man in the oil field. He married Carmen Elaine Picotte on Nov. 22, 2003, in McAlester.
He enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family. He was of the Pentecostal faith.
Survivors include his wife, Carmen, of the home; son, Joe Scott and wife, Kris, of Bug Tussle; daughters, Wendy Scott, of Louisiana, Suzie Scott, of Crowder, and Sarah Beth Scott, of Alderson.
Also, grandchildren, Kyle, Dustin, J.J., Emily, Rachel, Sabra, Kailey, Audrye and Skylar; six great-grandchildren; sisters, Alberta Surry, Fort Worth, Texas, Mary Helen “Sissy” Coppage and husband, Walter, Wichita Falls, Texas, and Janet Wells, Henrietta, Texas; aunt, Florence Miller, of McAlester, and a son-in-law, Ben Britton, Clover, S.C.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Helen Scott, and by his first wife, Cecilia Scott.
Pallbearers will be Steven Bridges, Dustin Scott, Kyle Scott, Theodore Picotte, William Picotte, and Nathaniel Picotte.
Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Scott, Lee Grisby, and Benny Shanks.

Rebecca Stokes, 40, of Ashland, died Saturday, May 3, 2008, in Ashland.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Kiowa Cemetery Pavilion with the Rev. James Crowson officiating. Burial will be at Kiowa Cemetery under the direction of Chaney-Harkins Funeral Home of McAlester.
