Quinton schools have a new superintendent

Quinton Public Schools has hired a new superintendent and high school principal. Former Porum High School principal, Don Cox, has been hired as the 2008-2009 superintendent of Quinton Schools.
A 1992 Quinton High School graduate, Paul Ogden, has returned to Quinton Schools as the high school principal.
Quinton Public Schools will open their doors to students on Aug. 7. The teachers report to work on Aug. 4.
Peggy Roberts-Hyslop reported that her uncle, David Whitlow, has passed away. We extend our deepest sympathy to Peggy and her family.
Happy birthday to Natalie Knott, 8 years old on July 8; Kaitlyn Knott, 6 years old on July 25; and Chandra Purdom, 26, on July 11.
Roy and Ludene Roberts visited me on July 18.
Quinton Manor welcomes CNA’s Brandy Shelton, Michelle Sturment, and Marcy Horton.
The Lord’s Day church service will be held on Aug. 3 at 2 p.m. in the lobby at Quinton Manor. I will preach on Job called “The storm is coming.”
Cheyenne Basden, of Fort Smith, Ark., visited last weekend with his grandmother, Colene Basden.
The Matthew Brothers, of Kinta, will sing at Quinton Manor on Aug. 4 at 6 p.m.
The Pentecostal Holiness Church has prayer meeting each Tuesday at 2 p.m. Everyone is invited.
