Half the year already gone

June is here and the month means we have the year half over.

We extend our deepest sympathy to the family of Leonard Bray.

Opel Gragg celebrated her 88th birthday on May 29 with a party at Quinton Manor.

Retired CSM Larry D. Basden, wife, Judy, and son, Tony, of Clarksville, Tenn., visited his mother, Colene Basden, on Memorial Day weekend.

Skip Daniels of Sallisaw spent Memorial Day with his parents, Emmett and Inez Daniels.

There will be a special school board meeting on June 20 at 2 p.m.

There will be a Quinton city council meeting Thursday at 6 p.m. at Quinton Community Center.

Quinton Superintendent of Schools Sherri Prentice has given her resignation.

Also, Quinton High School Principal David Smith has resigned.

The Matthews brothers provided music and singing at Quinton Manor Monday.

The Quinton Senior Citizens had 40 present for dinner May 29.
