Fun Run

McALESTER —

A group of participants leave for the 5K “Mustache Run” Saturday. The McAlester Regional Health Center and Wellness Center, in partnership with the Pittsburg County Health Department and City of McAlester sponsored the event. Proceeds from the run are to go towards prostate cancer research at the American Cancer Society.

  • Methodist Qult Methodist Quilt

    The women of the First United Methodist Church of McAlester are proud and excited to again be hosting their annual Fall Festival in their new Family Life Center, across the street from Mike Deak Field, at South 13th and MacArthur Avenue on Friday November 22.  Shopping booths will be open from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. and will feature a wide variety of items. This will include pottery, jewelry, boutique clothing, candles, books, olive wood ornaments from Bethlehem, Rada cutlery, Amish jelly, hand carved wood items, quilts, children’s items, skin care products, lotions and Christmas ornaments as well as a large number of hand made goods. A brisket lunch will be served from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Tickets are $8.00 and are available for purchase at the church office and can also be purchased at the door. Carry out is available upon request and for the first time, free delivery is offered with a minimum of 6 meals per location. To schedule a delivery, please 918-423-6136 no later than Wednesday.
