Lowell Russell Marsh, 99, of Eufaula, died last Tuesday, May 6, 2014, in Tulsa.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the United Methodist Church with the Rev. Mike Brannon officiating. Burial followed at Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Hunn Black & Merritt Funeral Home & Crematory.
She was born on Jan. 18, 1915, in Wolf, Okla., to John Thomas and Clyde Penelope (Thompson) Wilson. She graduated from Wolf High School in 1932. She attended East Central University in Ada. On Dec. 22, 1935, she married Jackson Brown Marsh, who preceded her in death on Oct. 22, 1985. They had moved all over for his job in road construction. In the early 1960s, they moved to Eufaula to stay. Lowell was a member of the United Methodist Church, where she stayed very active. She enjoyed gardening, crafts, rug hooking and tole painting.
Survivors include her son, John Marsh and wife, Marilyn, of Tulsa; daughter, Dixie Grahlman, of Jenks; sister, Jacqueline Saunders, of Tulsa; three grandchildren: Richard Grahlman, Angela Butler and husband, Zane; Jack Marsh and wife, Beth; and six great-grandchildren: Jacob, Hannah, Jennifer, Derk, Cameron, and Chris.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son in-law, Bill, and one granddaughter, Debbie.
