McALESTER — Betty Belle (Allison) Hiatt, 92, of Granbury, Texas, died Thursday, May 16, 2013, at Harbor Lakes Care Center in Granbury.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Oak Hill Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Brumley-Mills Funeral Home of McAlester.

The family will visit with friends at Pete’s Place in Krebs following the service from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Born July 20, 1920, in McAlester, she was the daughter of Birt and Callie Allison. She attended school in McAlester until her graduation.

She loved to play bridge and, at one point, taught modeling at the Patricia Stevens Modeling School.

Her family and friends were her greatest treasure and source of joy. She told numerous stories of their adventures around Krebs. It was in Krebs where she met her husband, Carl C. Hiatt.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Winston and Jan Hiatt, of Granbury, and Chuck and Carol Hiatt, of Gilbert, Ariz.; grandchildren, Stephen Hiatt and wife, Shelli, Lerryn Trzcinski and husband, Bob, Shawn Hiatt, Janet Hiatt and David Hiatt; great-grandchildren, Jahree Hardcastle, GW Trzcinski, Jaidon Wold and Cash Wold.

Also, one sister, Geraldine Mills, Burlington, of Vermont; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Walter and Donna Allison, of Bartlesville, and Carl Lee and Barbara Allison, of West Monroe, La., and numerous other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Carl; a brother, Birt Allison Jr., and her baby sister, Barbara Watson.
