McALESTER — Peter “Pete” Douglas, 75, of Norman, formerly of McAlester, died Saturday, March 9, 2013, at his home.

Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Primrose Chapel. Arrangements are under the direction of Primrose Funeral Home of Norman.

Born Jan. 28, 1938, in Pittsburg, Pa., he was the son of Samuel and Thelma Douglas.

He married Betty Evelyn Curliss on May 26, 1973, in McAlester. He graduated from Juniata College in Huntingdon, Pa., Wharton School of Business Administration. He held a masters degree in criminal justice administration from Oklahoma City University. He worked for Oklahoma Department of Corrections for 20 years. He retired from Oklahoma Medical Board in Oklahoma City.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Douglas, of the home; a son, David Douglas and wife, Paige; grandsons, Landon and Parker Douglas, of Bartlesville.

He was preceded by his parents; a brother, Sam Douglas, of California, and a sister, Sally Douglas, Bethel Park, Pa.
