Betty Luella Trubelood, 88, of Hartshorne, died Saturday, July 27, 2013, at McAlester Regional Health Center.
Funeral Services are set for 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 30, at Brumley Mills Funeral Home Chapel in Hartshorne with Danny Brennan officiating. Interment will be at Elmwood Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Brumley-Mills Funeral Home of Hartshorne.
She was born on July 26, 1925, in Oklahoma City to Joseph and Blanche Warner. She grew up in Oklahoma City and then Coffeyville, Kan., which is where she met and married Robert L .Trueblood on Oct. 19, 1951, in Hartshorne. At that time, they moved to Hartshorne, where she has since resided. She was a member of the Hartshorne First Baptist Church. She enjoyed singing and made several church mission trips over the world. She also enjoyed painting and doing arts and crafts. She worked at the McAlester Army Ammunition Plant until she went back to school to get her Registered Nurse certificate, then worked at St. Mary’s Hospital, Carl Albert Mental Health Center, and at Blevins Care Center, where she was the director of nurses.
Survivors include adopted daughter Deanna Campbell, of Hartshorne; niece, Nancy Bishop, of Oklahoma City, and nephew, Eldon Bishop, of Oklahoma City.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, her husband, and a sister and brother-in-law, Nona and Loren Bishop.
