The Kilihoti Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution met Saturday, November 9 for the regular monthly meeting. Clyde Briggs was the guest speaker. Briggs served in World War II in the European Theater. He was a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne and also served under General Patton in the drive from France into Germany. Members present at the meeting were Susanna Hunt, Janet Bailey, Carole Moore, Norma Gist, Kathy Atkins, Deborah Stone, Betty Sanders and Tammy Hinton. The next scheduled meeting will be held on December 14 at Angel's Diner in McAlester. Susanna Hunt is the program chairman and the program will be about Cherokee Heritage.
