Music club meeting features 'My Tribute'

From submitted reports

The McAlester Music Club’s hymn of the month for November was “My Tribute” by Andrae Couch.

Sue Parham, soloist, sang the verses with the group singing the chorus. DeLoyce Patterson accompanied on the piano.

“It Is Well with My Soul,” by Horatio G. Spafford and Phillip P. Bliss, was performed by vocalists Kristen Warren-Carrell and Rodney Briggs. Patterson was the accompanist.

They also sang “Blessed Assurance,” by Fanny J. Crosby and Phoebe Palmer Knapp, with Briggs playing the organ; and “We Gather Together” with organ and guitar.

The two concluded the program by singing “Mine Eyes Have Seen the Glory,” by Julia Ward Howe. Patterson accompanied on the piano with Carol Stephens playing the organ.
