Group celebrates music of the 1960s and 1970s

Sue Parham presented the Hymn of the Month at the October meeting of the McAlester Music Club.

The program was “Celebrate the Music of the 60s and 70s” with Betty Turnipseed as the chairman.

She played “Moon River” and “This Guy’s in Love with You” on the piano. Phoebe Motley played “Mame” and “What the World Needs Now.”

Parham sang and played the piano for “Love Story” and “Born Free.” Virginia Allford sang “Sunrise, Sunset.”

Carol Stephens played “The Exodus Song” on the piano.

The Rejoicers sang “They’ll Know We Are Christians by Our Love” and “In the Presence of the Lord” accompanied by DeLoyce Patterson. The Rejoicers are Lynda Mason, Williams and Stephens.
