Cornerstone Creations Department of GFWC OK McAlester Fortnightly,held its holiday celebration by donating a monetary gift to McAlester Hospice through its director, Rhonda Kurvink.
The members earned this money by hosting a soup and salad luncheon in November at St. John’s parish hall.
The members had a covered dish luncheon at the Puterbaugh House and then wrapped gifts they had purchased for a family in need who lost their husband and father in October.
Amist tears of joy, the mother told Angie Sellmeyer, director, how appreciative they were when the members of Cornerstone Creations provided the food and gifts for this holiday season when they would not have had a very merry Christmas.
The next meeting is Jan. 13 at 9 a.m. Hostesses will be Helen O’Nesky and Rita Sanders. Door prizes will be provided by Jean Craig, Joanne Miller and Marjorie Grace.
The program will be prepared by Carol Jessup and presentedby Jean Craig and Carol Sanders. This group will be creating greeting cards using new stamping techniques.
