All-State tennis and slowpitch teams announced

McALESTER — The Oklahoma Coaches Association and Oklahoma Slowpitch Softball Coaches Association have announced their all-state teams. From McAlester, senior Chance Sistrunk made the OCA All State East team and will play in the All State Tennis Tournament on June 29 at 5 p.m. at Union Intermediate High School in Tulsa.

From Stuart, Cierra Chapman and Kylie Jernigen both made the OSSCA Small East All State team. Stuart’s Kayla Smith made Academic All State.

From Quinton, Kelsey Crawford made the OSSCA Middle East All State team. The Stuart Lady Hornets qualified for the Class 2A state tournament, and the Quinton Lady Savages reached Regionals in Class 3A.

The Slow Pitch All State Games will take place June 14 at the University of Oklahoma in Norman. The small schools (Classes A-2A) game starts at 11 a.m., followed by the middle schools (Classes 3A-4A) game at 1 p.m. and the large schools (Classes 5A-6A) game at 3 p.m.
