Police are investigating allegations of inappropriate touching by a district employee at Edmond Doyle Elementary School.
McAlester Police Det. Capt. Gary Wansick confirmed Thursday his department is investigating a Wednesday report of inappropriate touching at Edmond Doyle Elementary.
District Superintendent Marsha Gore issued the following statement Thursday.
“On Wednesday, April 10 the McAlester Public Schools received a report concerning alleged misconduct by a district employee. The employee has been suspended with pay and will not be on school property during the investigation, law enforcement has been notified and an investigation has been initiated by law enforcement and the district.
No further information will be made available at this time and no additional comment will be made until the investigation is completed.
Meanwhile Wansick said his officers are conducting interviews investigation will continue.
