McALESTER — This vehicle overturned into the median of U.S. Highway 69, four miles south of Savanna, at about 5 p.m. Tuesday (June 11, 2013). Although there were few details immediately available from officials working the scene of the wreck, it appeared to involve the single vehicle and one occupant. The McAlester News-Capital arrived on the scene as an ambulance and officers with the Pittsburg County Sheriff’s Department awaited the arrival of Oklahoma Highway Patrol. More information about the wreck will be published as it becomes available.
