Dr. Dwain Doyle

Dr. Dwain Doyle, 56, of McAlester, died Saturday, June 28, 2008, at McAlester Regional Health Center.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Lakewood Christian Church with the Rev. Bart Patterson and Paul Bishop officiating. Burial will be at Indianola Cemetery under the direction of Brumley-Mills Funeral Home of McAlester.

Born March 7, 1952, in McAlester, he was the son of Clell and Jennie (Duvall) Doyle. He grew up in Indianola where he attended school through graduation in 1970. He played basketball at Indianola High School and also played American Legion baseball in McAlester.

He then attended Oklahoma State University in Stillwater and after graduating he attended Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. He served his OBGYN residency in Wichita, Kan. and began his OBGYN practice in McAlester in April 1983 and had continued his practice at the Warren Clinic of McAlester.

He served on the board of directors of McAlester Regional Health Center and was the medical director at Warren Clinic of McAlester. He belonged to the American College of OBGYN.

He had been an avid OSU fan and supporter for many years.

Survivors include his wife, Trina Doyle, of the home; two sons, Brian David Doyle, of McAlester, and Matthew Wade Doyle and his wife, Meagan, of McAlester; three daughters, Kristen Denee Solheim and her husband, Andy, of Phoenix, Sheena Hance and her husband, Riley, of McAlester, and Felicia Doyle, of the home.

Also, five grandchildren, Jenna Solheim, Laine Solheim, Avery Doyle, Olivia Doyle, and Trinity Hance; his father, Clell Doyle, of Indianola; one brother, Dr. David Doyle and his wife, Connie, of McAlester; one sister, Karolyn Teacle and her husband, Charles, of Ardmore; the mother of his children, Phyllis Doyle, of McAlester, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother in September of 1999.

Pallbearers will be Arthur Shropshire, Bobby Shropshire, Richard Shropshire, Jack Shropshire, Dustin Shropshire, Steven Shropshire, David Clayborne, and Ronald Painter.

Honorary pallbearers will be physicians of Warren Clinic of McAlester.

Memorials may be made to the Indianola Alumni Association Dwain Doyle Memorial Scholarship Fund, 502 Quail Drive, McAlester, Okla., 74501.
