McAlester concert to feature local violinist, pianist

McALESTER — Violinist Michael Ginsburg says when he plays music with Kathy Brod, it’s more than two people simply playing the notes together.

Perhaps their friendship has something to do with it, but it’s also much more.

“When we play, there’s a certain dynamic that’s created,” Ginsburg said. “It’s the creation of a sound.”

Ginsburg and Brod are performing in concert together beginning at 7 p.m. on April 9 at the First Christian Church, at the corner of Third Street and Carl Albert Parkway in McAlester.

Tickets for the Ginsburg/Brod concert are $10 for adults and $7 for children. The tickets are available at the McAlester Chamber of Commerce, the First National Bank, The Meeting Place, Pride in McAlester, Whispering Meadows Winery and Cecelia’s.
