McALESTER — Mayor Kevin Priddle was the recipient of an inaugural Humanitarian of the Year award given by Narconon, a drug rehab center, in observance of his continued help and support for drug-free lives in his community.

The award is given to a person or group who has shown a sincere desire to work toward enhancing the lives of others through drug addiction help, prevention and community activities.

Priddle, currently vice president of The Bank N.A. in McAlester, has 30 years experience in the banking industry. He moved from Kansas to Oklahoma in 2004 and has become very involved in the McAlester community since his arrival. In addition to his service as mayor, Priddle serves on several committees and boards  and is active with the Chamber of Commerce, Pride in McAlester, and the local hospital authority and foundation boards. He’s former president of the United Way and is on the Kiamichi Technology Executive Council.
